Owls are the main interest for most foreign birders that visit Finland. These nocturnal birds are really hard to find without a good local knowledge. Especially during the breeding season you really have to know how to find them to get a view on them.

The numbers of breeding owls vary a lot between years but with a good local guide you have a change to see these mystical forest birds every summer. The real boreal forest owls like Great Grey, Ural, Tengmalm's, Pygmy and Hawk Owl can all be seen with us during a normal year. Also Short-eared, Long-eared, Eagle and Tawny Owls are possible if requested.
